Go on a DATE with Your Creative Side

Take some time for yourself. Everyone, even the artist in you, needs a break and time to recharge.

List of Things to Do:

  • visit a museum
  • see a local play
  • watch a movie
  • scope out the bargain store for treasures
  • take a walk
  • study a painting or photograph
  • explore the woods
  • take a yoga class
  • go for a boat ride
  • drop a fishing line
  • skate on a pond
  • play
  • sort through magazines
  • dig in the garden
  • watch a sunrise or sunset
  • walk the beach

Write a bucket list for an artist date. Record all the things you would love to do and might like to try. Choose one each week. Get out and enjoy.

About Denise Reashore

Denise M. Reashore spends most of her free time reading, writing, and gardening - - or staring out the window at the brightness of a new day and dreaming of digging in the earth. Throughout the winter, precious free time goes into mapping and planning her future garden and, hopefully, writing and reading retreat. The rest of the time, from September to June, she spends working as an elementary school teacher. She lives on almost 3 acres, in an old Victorian style home, with her husband, two lovely daughters, and a cat.
